Main modules.

Arkiway divides its core functionality into two streamlined modules

Sales & Services
…the Arkiway

  • Flexible pricing.

Arkiway’s pricing engine includes a predefined set of pricing types for each logistic service, giving you ready-to-use configurations while still allowing further customization.

You can attach incoming invoices or other costs to each service, enabling Arkiway to calculate both individual service profit and overall shipment profit. This approach provides a comprehensive view of costs and profitability across all services in your logistics operations.

  • Custom pricing.

Arkiway’s Custom Pricing feature empowers you to move beyond the predefined pricing types by defining tailor-made pricing structures, surcharges, discounts, or multi-tiered rates. It also allows you to incorporate custom business rules for accounting, ensuring that revenue allocation, cost tracking, and profit calculations adhere to your specific organizational or regulatory requirements.

With the ability to attach expenses and invoices directly to each service, Arkiway automatically calculates both individual service margins and overall shipment profitability. By combining flexible pricing with bespoke accounting rules, you gain full control over your billing processes, enabling precise alignment with your business objectives and operational workflows.

  • Flexible cargo management.

Arkiway offers a flexible cargo management framework tailored to meet diverse transportation needs. Whether you handle standard shipments or require specialized configurations, our cargo set options ensure efficient and compliant operations.

    Standard Cargo Set

The Standard Cargo Set is the foundational configuration within Arkiway, designed to accommodate a wide variety of cargo types. It provides essential properties and business rules necessary for managing general cargo operations seamlessly.

    Specialized Cargo Sets

For organizations with specific transportation needs, Arkiway provides specialized cargo sets that extend the capabilities of the Standard Cargo Set with additional properties and business rules.

    Pallet Cargo Set
The Pallet Cargo Set is tailored for cargo typically transported on pallets. This specialized set enhances efficiency and compliance in pallet-based logistics by incorporating properties and rules specific to palletized shipments.

    Container Cargo Set
Designed for containerized shipments, the Container Cargo Set includes specialized properties and business rules that address the unique requirements of container logistics, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.

  • Custom cargo.

For businesses with unique cargo handling requirements, Arkiway offers the flexibility to create Custom Cargo Sets. This option allows you to define specific properties and business rules tailored to your particular cargo types and operational needs.

    Key Benefits:

    Tailored Configuration
Customize attributes, properties, and business rules to match specific cargo requirements.

    Enhanced Flexibility
Adapt the system to accommodate unconventional or specialized cargo types not covered by standard or specialized sets.

    Improved Efficiency
Streamline operations by configuring cargo sets to align with your exact workflows and processes.

    Competitive Advantage
Manage unique cargo types effectively, enhancing your service offerings and customer satisfaction.

    Seamless Integration
Integrate custom cargo sets with existing modules and systems within Arkiway for cohesive operations.

  • Bundled service pricing and income distribution.

Arkiway allows a main service to be sold as a single, bundled offering to the customer, while internally accounting for each department’s contribution to that service. Customers see one overall price (the “customer price”) on their invoice, making billing simple and transparent from their perspective.

However, on the accounting side, individual internal services - each with its own cost - are recorded as separate revenue streams for the departments responsible. The department providing the main service earns the difference between the total billed amount and the combined internal service costs, while each contributing department receives revenue equal to its internal price. This structure simplifies external billing while preserving detailed, accurate internal cost and revenue allocations.

Logistics Planning & Operation
…the Arkiway

  • Integrated Vessel Operation & Multi-Leg Planning

The Arkiway system gives you a holistic view of your entire shipment - from loading at the origin to discharging at the final destination - by seamlessly merging pre-carriage, main vessel operations, and post-carriage within one unified interface.

With Arkiway, vessel planning is no longer a collection of disjointed steps but a fully integrated workflow, giving you complete control and visibility from the initial pickup to the final port - and beyond. It’s the ultimate solution for freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics operators who want to optimize transport operations, reduce complexity, and deliver top-notch service to their customers.

  • Optimize Your Voyage Operations with Arkiway’s Unified Vessel Trip Management

Arkiway’s advanced vessel trip management seamlessly unifies scheduling, cost tracking, and capacity planning in one intuitive dashboard. Real-time updates enable effortless oversight of each port call - tracking call costs, vessel capacity, and voyage timing with pinpoint accuracy. Built-in automation ensures that changes to loading requests, ETAs, or scheduling elements are instantly synchronized across the system.

A dedicated Unassigned tab consolidates transport requests (often from liner forwarding departments) that haven’t yet been linked to a specific voyage, enabling proactive planning and optimal resource allocation. The result? Streamlined operations, fewer disruptions, and more profitable voyages for shipping lines and logistics operators alike.
